The Hakosuka legend

The Nissan Skyline 2000 GT‑R (Hakosuka) was introduced in 1969 and became one of the most important icons of Japanese performance car history.

The nickname “Hakosuka” comes from Japanese words:

• “Hako” meaning box

• “Suka” referring to Skyline

This described the car’s distinctive boxy body shape, which became instantly recognizable.

The original GT-R version achieved more than 50 race victories in Japanese touring car championships, launching the Skyline GT-R legend.

Pandem widebody style

This model represents a modern reinterpretation of the classic Skyline using the Pandem widebody style.

Pandem builds are known for:

• extremely wide fender flares

• aggressive stance aesthetics

• large rear wings

• modern race-inspired styling

The design philosophy originates from Japanese tuner Kei Miura, the creator of the Rocket Bunny / Pandem brand.

Automotive culture significance

Today the Hakosuka is considered one of the most important symbols of JDM automotive culture.

Modern interpretations like Pandem builds combine:

• classic 1970s styling
